Four Tips On Dealing With Pimples

Women more particularly teenagers are afraid to see one thing every time they look at themselves in the mirror. And it is not in case they would see the ghost of Christmas Past looking behind their shoulder but more on whether they find a great big zit peeking its ugly head on their face.

A pimple is a definite unwanted visitor particularly on days before the big junior and senior prom night, or on the day of the first interview for the most sought after job. It has come to be that women who have blemish and pimple free skin boost of more confidence than their flawed counterparts. This is why more and more women nowadays, are seeking for ways and means to prevent and put a stop to the growth of pimples, whiteheads and blackheads on their lovely faces. There is however, much to be done especially in this time where more dirt and grime are flowing in the air and could very much taint our skin's pores. Here are perhaps a few tips that can help in nipping these pimples in the bud.

* Wash your face regularly. Pimples are basically a result of dirt that have accumulated and have blocked the skin pores resulting to infection of the skin and thus forming an ugly looking mount on the face. So to be able to cleanse the face from all of this dirt, regular facial washing must be done.

Generally, skin experts advise that face must washed at least once or two times a day. Frequent washing is not recommended as it may dry up the skin. However, the most important thing that one should remember is to clean the face at the end of the day, right before going to sleep. An unclean face will most likely develop a pimple or two as the dirt seeds in during the night to produce a bump in the morning.

* Use a mild soap. The choice of soap for the face is an important consideration. It is best to consult a skin expert on what soap is most appropriate based on your skin type, whether it is dry or oily. An inappropriate choice of soap may cause one to have more pimples than they already have.

* Remember to put on some moisturizer. As you wash the face with soap and water, its texture becomes dry and some of its liquids are lost. To hydrate the face and to restore its moisture and water content, a good moisturizer does the trick. A moisturizer works to make the epidermis softer and more supple thus giving one a fresher and smooth face. As the moisturizer prevents the skin from getting dry, it also prevents dirt from penetrating and thus, foiling pimples as well.

* Do not forget sun block. In this day where the sun shines its heat the most, sun block is essential. In most cases, sun block may not have been proven to thwart pimples but it does wonders to protect your skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays.
