Three Requisites For Healthy Teeth And Mouth
If you summarize the activities that a person does in a day, you will find that he always does three regular things: eat, drink and sleep. While some people may dismiss sleep, one can never do away with eating and drinking. And with the way people are eating and drinking these days, one can say that there is a lot of activity going on in people's mouths.
This is why the mouth is one of the more important parts of the body as it is the organ that allows us to nourish our body with the food that we eat and the liquids that we drink. And since it is important, it is imperative that we must take good care of it. That means being able to clean it regularly. By cleaning, we must well be equipped with the necessary cleaning tools that should keep our mouths feeling fresh and clean everyday. Here are some of the quintessential tools our mouth and teeth need.
* Toothbrush. One cannot simply gargle water and hope that the bits of food that is stuck in between the corners of our teeth would get washed leaving our teeth clean and free from residue. There definitely must be some kind of intervention, an instrument that can reach the depths of our mouth and get those rotten food remains from seeking shelter inside our mouth and gnash all their hopes of ever growing a family of plaque and causing cavities on our teeth. And how does one combat all of that? With a toothbrush of course. The toothbrush was invented with all its bristling glory to sweep, graze and scrape all of those unwanted food deposits and plaque scum from infiltrating our mouth and leaving us with a fresh and clean pair of teeth.
* A tube of toothpaste. And so because squeezing in a toothbrush in our mouth space is not enough, he must go in with his partner in tow and that is no other than a squeeze or two of toothpaste. Toothpaste are gels that usually have the mineral fluoride in them to help clean the teeth, the gums and tongue by working on getting hard and tough plaque that has already clinched itself on our teeth. Toothpaste works in two ways and that is also to prevent plaque from forming thus nipping in the bud the formation of teeth cavities as well. Most toothpaste nowadays comes in a mixture of fresh and fruity flavors to leave the mouth feeling fresh and healthy after each brushing.
* Mouthwash. Plaque can be very tricky and food residue can have very sly and devious ways of hiding in between our teeth. So cunning that the toothbrush and toothpaste cannot reach them. So what is the next best step to do? Apply mouthwash. Mouthwash is liquid so it can go way over, under, above and easily between our teeth. Mouthwash also has the ability to reach our throat area and does allow for the cleaning and elimination of food residue or mucous in that area too.
